What Components Do I Need To Add Air Suspension To My Indian Motorcycle?
To give you a better idea of what components you need to add air suspension to your Indian Motorcycle, we are going to list out everything that comes in our ready-to-install kits.
Shock Absorbers
The shock absorbers required for motorcycle air suspension kits are slightly different from the air shocks in car and truck air suspension kits. At Arnott, we offer high-quality motorcycle shock absorbers that allow for up to 3” of travel. You can purchase these shock absorbers by themselves or get them included in our all-in-one kits.
Inflation Switch
To control your motorcycle air suspension system, you are going to need an inflation switch. Our inflation switches are handlebar-mounted for easy operation and will include a two-button system. This will allow you to raise and lower your suspension at the push of a button.
Compressor
To get air into your air suspension system, you are going to need an air compressor. Our motorcycle air compressors are small enough to mount securely and discreetly on your motorcycle frame and will include an application-specific mounting bracket for easy installation.
Air Distribution Valve
An air distribution valve is an electronic valve that is mounted before your strut that controls the flow of air to raise and lower your motorcycle. When your inflation button is pushed, your valve opens or closes to let air in and out of your air shock.
Fused Wiring Harness & Relay
To get your air suspension system wired up correctly, you are going to need a wiring harness and relay system. At Arnott, we include a fused wiring harness and relay to ensure you have everything wired correctly and cut down on installation time.
Air Line Tubing
Lastly, you are going to need air line tubing to carry air to each of your air suspension components. Each of our motorcycle air suspension kits will include plenty of air line, but if needed, you can purchase this separately to complete your kit.
